Pregnancy, and Uni

So Uni is now over!!! Well apart from poor Antz having 4 exams to go! He has done so well including getting his first A grade for an essay this trimester! He is very much looking forward to finishing up after almost 4 years at uni, And I will start my Early Childhood Degree 2011 as long as all goes to plan. Antz has managed to get full time work at Quitline starting after the exams are over which is great. He will start job hunting for a job related to his degree but can take his time and make sure he gets the job that he wants rather than the first one that comes up.

I am now 30 weeks pregnant and in my last trimester, every day we look more and more foward to meeting our wee bub. I am still getting morning sickness so am not expecting that to go away until bubs arrives and am now getting many of the other symptoms that come on later in pregnancy including, heartburn, reflux, sciatic nerve pain, trouble sleeping, oh and almost any other symptom you could thing of. I have to say there are alot of things that I don't enjoy about pregnancy but things like hearing bubs heartbeat and feeling bub kick make it worth it and it will all be even more worth it once they have arrived! I will be finishing up work on the 29th November and am looking forward to that as am struggling with pain from being on my feet at work. I am also having a baby shower in two weekends time which should be good fun!

Anyway enough from me for now, I am hoping to update again after the baby shower so until then....

New house

Thought we should post some photos of our new house, unfortunately means the previous post about babies room is now redundant, and I haven't managed to properly do it back up at the new house yet as we have only been here for 2 days! We thought we have done well to have everything unpacked and sorted out already. Big thanks to Sharon, Sia, Konrad, Sade and little Becca for their help with our move. :D The new place is smaller, cheaper, warmer and we LOVE it!

This first one is the lounge area of our big living area which we have divided into 4 smaller areas

This next one shows our lounge area and also our dining area

Next one is we have set up our spare bed in the lounge for guests but it also works well as another place for people to sit or chill out, We figured this was a better idea than guests having to sleep in with baby and we don't think it looks too bad!

Then we have the study corner of the living area as well

Now a couple of pics of the bedrooms

And just a few of the kitchen and bathroom to finish up excuse the dishes in the kitchen photo, hot tap wasn't working but has now been fixed!

Sorry guys this is turning out to be a marathon post! Figured it was about time though since I've been so slack at updating!

The gender of our baby....

....remains a surprise!!!!! Had our 20 week scan today to check everything was okay with the baby and it also gives you an opportunity to find out the gender. Bubs decided however it didn't want us to know so kept its legs firmly crossed and tucked right up!!! Was good to see bubs again and the scan lady was really good and was explaining what we were looking at all the time because it was a little hard sometimes to work out what you were seeing.. Was very cool though when bubs was lying with one arm resting behind its head in the same way that Antz sleeps :) and also to see the baby yawn!!

Pic of bub before YawnAnd now Yawning!

The scan lady had quite a bit of fun rewinding and fast forwarding that one LOL! I've obviously attached some pictures, we have a few more but unfortunately they weren't very clear. We would love to hear peoples opinions on what you think it is, I am adamant that it is a girl and Antz thinks boy. I am unfortunately still suffering from fairly bad morning sickness but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end when we meet the little boy/girl that has caused it all!! Hope all are well will try to update the blog when I can but don't hold your breath!!

Just one more photo to finish off some little wee tootsies!! Bubs feet are so cute!!

Little Antz or Bex on the way!!

Its official, there is a little one of us due to be in this world in 6ish months!! After the last heartbreak we had decided to (try) to keep this quiet until we got past 12 weeks which we did on Sunday! Babys estimated due date is 27/12/2009! We have had stern words from our midwife that it is not allowed to arrive on Christmas Day though!!

This is a wee picture from our scan today which showed our wee bubba is healthy and very active! Was kicking away like crazy and not co-operating with the scan lady to get the measurements needed. Cheeky thing kept throwing itself over onto its other side. Was very exciting to see though just how much it is moving around already and made it all feel a lot more real. Also helped make the dreadful morning sickness I had been suffering a lot more worth it too!

Here is a picture of its legs and feet aswell, looks like bubs is going to have some very long legs (wonder where it will get them from)! So all very exciting and we will keep you all updated as to how everything is going via the blog. In another 6 - 8 weeks we will get to find the sex out as well :), Also family members that we have already given the blog too please feel free to pass along to others that may be interested to see how we are going!

Love from us, Antz Bex and the jellybean

Weekend with Dad and Jocelyn

Obviously from the title you can tell what this post is about. Saturday morning Dad and Jocelyn arrived in Wellington, just as I was leaving work which was good timing. After dropping off their luggage at C & Js where they were staying we bought them round to our place to have a look since they hadn't seen our place yet. We then went and had a lovely lunch at Screaming Turtle in Petone and then dropped them off at the mall for some shopping. Caught up with them again for dinner that night at C & Js and also a great fun game of Bastard. Sunday was started off with being cooked a yummy breakfast by Joss then Antz headed off to work and the rest of us over to the Wairarapa for the day. Caught up with Chris then had a quick look around the shops in Martinborough and back to Wellington. Dinner was again yummy with Joss cooking again (great cook that lady!) and then Antz (who had joined us for dinener after work) and I headed home and said our goodbyes as we had work the next day and Dad and Joss would be doing a day of shopping! All in all a fun weekend was so nice to catch up with them both and look forward to the next time we get to see them again.

This coming weekend the netball team that Sharon and I coach (Antz little sisters team) have their usual Saturday game, and also a tournament on Sunday which I will get to go down and check out and spend the day with the girls playing. I don't get to go to their Saturday games unfortunately due to work so this will be a good opportunity to see how they play, and if my training sessions are doing any good lol.

Well that is all for now! Until next time.

Welcome to our blog!

Hi All!

Welcome to our Blog!

We hope to keep you all up to date to bits and pieces going on in our lives!

At the moment we are just trying to stay warm! Cant believe how cold it is and how badly insulated our house is, should've realised this being as old as it is but we are coming up with ideas to keep it warmer every day. Other than that we are loving our new house and are sure we will love it more and more in Summer lol!

Antz is almost at the end of his second to last (fingers crossed) trimester at uni so we haven't seen a heck of a lot of each other lately with him either being at uni or holed up in the study for most of the night, I for one can't wait till he's finished, except then it will be me being the one holed up studying. Just over a month until I start Uni. I am starting by doing the Certificate of University Preparation and will be doing Early Childhood next year. This will all be done at Victoria University and i can't wait!

I am heading over to Masterton this weekend to visit some friends who i haven't seen in ages, Becca and Emilie. Emilie had her first child about a month or so ago so will be really great to catch up with her and haven't seen Becca since we went to a Hannah Montana tribute show with her daughter and Antz sister a month or so ago. (Yes i did say a Hannah Montana Tribute Show, laugh as much as you like because it really was bad.)

Well thats about it for now, im tired and ready to goto sleep! Plus bed is a really warm place to be at the moment! Hope you will all stay tuned for the next installment whenever it may be.
